Last.fm and I

Earlier this year, Oliver introduced me to yet another social Networking site: http://www.last.fm/user/elkenyc - and while I still don't really dig the social aspect of it, I like two things:

1) I like waking up with some Last.fm mix from my very own sound (thanks Oliver for doing this!

2) I like the Last.fm stats

Lastfm2
Granted, iTunes has stats. And Rhapsody, which I listen to during the
day, has its own stats, but nobody has better graphs than Last.fm. Do I
wish I could consolidate them all? Certainly! Will this happen? I doubt
so, since every site wants to create their own little social networking community.

Am I amused by my weekly or in this case three monthly stats? Absolutely! Look at the current one!

Not surprisingly, Adam Lambert
leads the field. Yes, I certainly blogged a lot (enough?) about him
anway. (He makes a pretty darn good muse and I can't wait to see him
live, in a month!)  (Even worse, I am making here public that I DID
listen to the horrible??? Dia Guardi song No Boundaries!!!)

Ha Ha Tonka?
No doubt about that! Didn't I blog and tweet a lot of this absolutely
awesome band already? Not enough, I guess! Go and listen to them! And then go and buy their 2nd or 1st album or better yet buy both.

And what's up with Jonatan Ezequiel Testa?
Well, let's hope we'll hear more from this Buenos Aires import in the
future! For now, this one song will have to do until he gets more
material together. I certainly wish him luck!

As a matter of
fact, I wish all three the best of luck and I am eager to see how my
"Favourite Tracks" list will look in a couple of weeks... although,
if Rhapsody could get taken into consideration too - things
would look a little differently...

P.S. By now, I also have the Led Zepplin original but still, Lambert's version is...
... hot!
